Smart4Health List of Key Exploitable Results (KER)
The development of the Smart4Health platform is from the technological perspective the key product of the project. As from the perspective of the EU citizen, the Smart4Health consortium aimed to go one-step further. Through the exploitation strategy of this project, the Smart4Health consortium wants to empower each individual, increase their digital health literacy, and accompany EU citizens on their way to explore and make the most beneficial use of each personal EHR. Based on this cutting-edge project many exploitation areas address different kinds of stakeholders that contribute to the success of Smart4Health.
This overarching approach not only includes new software products, but also newly developed health services, education material, hardware, further research, new methodologies, licenses and policy recommendations. Within these exploitation areas, a list of single exploitation activities has emerged from the project that indicates the owners that contributed to the KERs during the project phase and that will contribute to the success of Smart4Health results well beyond its project duration (January, 2023).
|Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCS)
The Smart4Health Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are education and training materials provided through an appropriate platform to reach target groups that are interested to learn about different, project-related topics. These target groups differ depending on the topic of the MOOC. The MOOCs are part of the broad health education campaign planed in Smart4Health.

The data provision service consists of multiple components to enable citizens to provide their data in de-identified form based on informed consent and to allow contacting citizens by a de-centralized approach for identity mapping.

Includes the set of technologies, strategies and methods to prevent and treat backpain.
|Citizen Health Data Platform (CHDP)
The Citizen Health Data Platform realizes the central storage of citizen health data in a highly secure manner. During the project, the platform received a BSI certification demonstrating its high-security standards.
|Hosting of S4H infrastructure
Services including data storage functionalities to allow for analytics and genomics approaches with high computational resource demand.

The SSH framework outlines the questions that need to be asked during the research, development and design process, in order to adhere to the fact that challenges of building a health data platform are never solely technical but always also social.

Add-on software for the physio Low-back pain machine ensuring the upload of data to the Citizen health Data Platform.
CitizenHub is a mobile application that collects relevant health and wellbeing data, e.g. data from wearables, smart textiles, smart sensors and aims at motivating user engagement and participation.
PhysioSense is a physiotherapy virtual assistant for muscle reinforcement and injury prevention that uses gamification to maintain users’ motivation and engagement.
|Physiotherapy Machine Smarterization
Process for installing multiple sensors to acquire relevant information during the physiotherapy training to provide the citizen with an improved experience while using the machine and, through this, contribute for motivation and engagement.

Software to the Smart4Health platform in order to include personalize health services (PHS), e.g. a comparable Patients-Like-Me service, or citizen-centered decision support services.

Analysis of citizen and professional user needs with regard to Informed consent procedures for a common understanding of IC requirements, for both current practices and imagined future uses
|Method to facilitate the reaching of Objectives
ECOGRAI derived method using Performance Indicators PIs as objectives and drivers as guides to follow-up on the evolution towards the reaching of the objectives and facilitating the tracking of the evolution.
The Smart4Health Research Platform consists of the research platform itself and the data collected during the project.

|B-Health IoT Box
The B-Health IoT Box is an IoT Hub that allows for connectivity of (medical) devices, meeting the new Medical Device regulation when required, such as with individual UDI codifications. The B-Health can host different applications and use the collected information with different objectives.
